TIPS TO SAFEGUARD WI-FI SYSTEM FROM HACKING

Proper procedures have to be followed to make the system safer.

1) Change USERNAME and PASSWORD periodically.
2) PASSWORD – Keep as long as possible, consisting of numbers and symbols.
3) Instal Firewall –
4) The access point or Router is to be close to the centre of your office or home rather than near windows.
5) Turn off your network, whenever not in use.
6) Enable MAC Address – Filtering – Feed the address of your computer into router and access point.
7) Many WI-FI user instal a WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) – a security feature, which can be easily hacked. Therefore, instead of relying on WEP – switch over to WPA (WI-FI PROTECTED ACCESS) – a wireless security with greater protection.
8) MAC Address – Every computer is known by a particular no. which is called MAC Address. This address is to be fed to the WI-FI Router, thereby, recognizing the said machine and eliminating any other intruder / machine / laptop / palmtop or mobile etc.
9) Every computer needed to be Password protected in a WI-FI environment.
10) One should instal a personal firewall software on each computer connected to the Router.
11) Passwords should be 20 characters long or long sentences as password.
12) WI-FI connection can be used within an area of 30 meter radius। Any person with a laptop or computer can access the internet in this area.

Lalbagacha Raja

This is a Diamond Jubilee Year of Shri Lalbagacha Raja and till today Lakhs of people and celebrities from and around Mumbai visited. Today is 8th Day of Ganeshostava 2008 and will be continuing till 14th September 2008. This Ganapati is well known for as "Navasaacha Ganapati" and started by local fisher folks 75 years ago.
